My wife and I wanted to stay at a well known hotel for our honeymoon in Jamaica. In doing our research, we were surprised to find the lack of brand name hotels and resorts on the island. However, we did come across the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa Jamaica and it ended up being the best place to honeymoon in Jamaica for us!

Jamaica has several luxury resorts and this Montego Bay resort is no stranger to this accolade. Located on 400 acres that at one time was an 18th sugar plantation (the famous Rose Hall plantation), this area has turned into a premiere Caribbean destination.
The resort is situated in Montego Bay which is a short drive from Sangster International Airport (about 20 minutes). Being this was our first time in the country, it was nice not having to drive very far.
The Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa is all inclusive. This was a great benefit as all accommodations we needed were part of the nightly cost. In fact for us, we were in search for an all inclusive honeymoon in Jamaica. We wanted complete relaxation without having to worry about budgeting, etc.
The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The check-in process was very quick and they gave us an upgraded room since we were celebrating our honeymoon. If you’re also on your honeymoon in Jamaica, be sure to communicate this well in advance to a hotel manager. My understanding is that as long as a better room is vacant when you arrive, they will most likely give it to you.
Our bed was very comfortable and we had an ocean front view with a balcony. The balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea was absolutely perfect for setting the stage for a romantic evening in Jamaica. Each night we would enjoy a bottle of wine on our balcony before heading down to dinner – simply amazing!
The Hilton Rose Hall Resort had many distinctive restaurants on the grounds. I believe there were 4 or 5 in total and the food at all were delicious and service impeccable. However, I’d say the Italian restaurant, Luna Di Mare, was our favorite!
The grounds of this Montego Bay resort has two pools. We spent the majority of our time by the one with a lazy river and swim up bar. We had such an amazing time around the pool and spent the majority of our time lounging around!
Other great Jamaican activities around the Montego Bay resort included an onsite golf course. We played a round here one day and found it to be a moderately challenged course. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and the light breeze was refreshing!
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better Jamaica honeymoon. Everything we needed was right on site of the resort. We even splurged a little and indulged ourselves at the spa getting facials and massages. Services were fantastic – well worth the extra cost!
In our opinion, the Hilton Rose Hall is the best honeymoon resort in Jamaica and suited all our needs the entire trip!
